Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Android Software Engineer on Zillow's Mobile Engineering Team in India, you will help shape the next generation of the company's real‑estate mobile experience. You will work closely with product, design and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable Android applications that delight customers.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for mobile development best practices and modern architectural patterns.
• Design, develop, and unit/UI test large‑scale Android applications using Java/Kotlin.
• Build resilient, production‑grade features and maintain continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins).
• Collaborate with designers to prototype innovative shopping‑real‑estate experiences.
• Participate in code reviews, root‑cause analysis, and proactively identify quality issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years delivering native Android applications with a deep understanding of the consumer app lifecycle.
• 3+ years of Java development experience; Kotlin experience is a plus.
• Strong commitment to engineering excellence and shipping quality code.
• Comfortable working in an agile (SCRUM) environment and communicating across teams.
• Passion for mentoring junior developers and conducting effective code reviews.
