Senior Accountant

About the role

Dora Dori, a contemporary Indian wear brand, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Jaipur office. You will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting for a fast‑growing fashion business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, process journal entries, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month‑end / year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements, cash‑flow reports, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, GST, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Analyze financial data to aid management decisions and recommend process improvements.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and implement best practices.

Required profile

• Strong core accounting knowledge, including GL management and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Good understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, and related tax compliance.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and advanced MS Excel.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, apparel or fashion environments is an advantage.
