Senior Accountant

About the role

ARP FinServ is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead end‑to‑end accounting operations for its Middle‑East client portfolio. Based in Hyderabad, you will work on‑site, preparing financial statements, managing tax and VAT compliance, and supporting audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports for assigned clients.
• Coordinate zakat, tax and VAT calculations and ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian and UAE regulations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll‑related accounting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients, mentor junior staff, and assist auditors with documentation and queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in professional services or outsourcing with exposure to Middle‑East markets.
• Strong knowledge of zakat, tax, VAT, and regional statutory reporting requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities and integrity.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
