Senior Accountant - Intercompany

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its global Intercompany team in India. The role focuses on managing intercompany settlements, reconciliations, and reporting while supporting transfer pricing and service‑fee accounting across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute intercompany processes, including settlement, global reconciliation, and monthly reporting.
• Handle transfer pricing and service‑fee accounting activities.
• Coordinate with Tax, Treasury, and Controllership to define settlement methods and ensure accountability.
• Maintain service level agreements, track performance targets, and report results.
• Collaborate with regional teams and financial system owners to implement local reporting requirements.
• Identify automation opportunities, drive efficiency improvements, and measure progress.
• Provide guidance and support to regional business units.
• Perform and review account reconciliations and support SOX control compliance.
• Undertake other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred; MBA a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and current accounting concepts.
• Experience in intercompany processing and large‑scale global environments.
• Proven ability to lead process‑improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with a strong sense of urgency.
