Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the preparation and oversight of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies. This role provides critical insights to senior management and supports audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes.
• Support internal and external audits and prepare audit schedules.
• Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on budgeting and forecasting.
• Mentor junior accountants and guide complex transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA preferred).
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and corporate tax regulations.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with BI tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
