Security Support Officer

About the role

The Security Support Officer ensures the safety and security of the entire plant, protecting assets, employees, and visitors. This role coordinates security personnel, liaises with external agencies, and supports safety and sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and monitor security manpower across the plant, preparing shift schedules and ensuring attendance.
• Maintain discipline, hygiene, and orientation of security guards, including briefing on plant geography.
• Build relationships with government officials, local police, and other agencies to ensure seamless security services.
• Gather intelligence on internal and external activities, conduct night vigilance duties, and oversee CCTV and MIS reporting.
• Coordinate with the Incident Response team during emergencies and ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety training, and promote good housekeeping and environmental sustainability.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, OPL, and other system‑based initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant or industrial security operations.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and ability to work with SHE teams.
• Excellent communication skills for liaison with external agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage schedules, attendance, and disciplinary actions for security staff.
