Security Officer – Site Operations Lead

About the role

The Security Officer acts as the operational lead at client sites, overseeing all security activities, supervising guard personnel and ensuring that safety standards are consistently met. This position bridges field operations with client expectations and requires strong leadership on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and monitor security operations as site head or second‑in‑command, ensuring compliance with G4S protocols and site‑specific instructions.
• Supervise Security Supervisors and Guards, conduct daily muster, uniform inspections and address absenteeism or disciplinary issues.
• Serve as primary client contact, hold regular meetings, and resolve issues to maintain client satisfaction.
• Oversee access control, patrolling, visitor management, asset protection and CCTV surveillance in coordination with client security teams.
• Respond promptly to incidents such as theft, fire or medical emergencies, guide guards, and file detailed incident reports.
• Maintain daily logs, occurrence reports, visitor data and statutory registers, preparing weekly performance summaries.
• Conduct on‑the‑job training, drills and ensure adherence to grooming, behavior and discipline standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 12th pass; graduate preferred.
• 4‑8 years of security industry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or officer role.
• Background in defence, police or paramilitary is preferred.
• Age 28‑50 years (flexible for ex‑servicemen) and minimum height 170 cm.
