Security Engineer – Vulnerability Services

About the role

As a Security Engineer in the Vulnerability Services Squad at ANZ, you will lead information‑security initiatives by assessing platform and application vulnerabilities, guiding remediation, and integrating vulnerability‑scanning toolsets across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, identify, and report platform and application vulnerabilities throughout the ANZ enterprise.
• Conduct security investigations to protect ANZ networks and systems.
• Manage and operate strategic vulnerability‑identification tools, including Web Application Scanning (WAS) solutions.
• Utilise Tenable.sc for web‑application scanning and stay current on emerging threats.
• Respond to security incidents following established incident‑response procedures.
• Use ServiceNow Vulnerability Response module to track and remediate findings.
• Identify vendor‑disclosed vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and automate workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience performing infrastructure vulnerability scans.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for interpreting scan results, conducting assessments, prioritising remediation, and recommending actions.

• Tenable.sc (Web Application Scanning tool).
• ServiceNow Vulnerability Response module.
• Infrastructure vulnerability scanning techniques and tools.
