Security Associate

About the role

The Security Associate ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and property at Pullman and Novotel hotels. This role involves active patrolling, monitoring of security equipment, and responding to incidents in line with hotel standards.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol guest floors, lobby, and basement parking, reporting incidents, policy violations, fire/safety hazards, and decorum breaches.
• Monitor and secure guest rooms and hotel assets, providing assistance to guests as needed.
• Maintain vigilance in public areas, greet guests, and identify undesirable visitors or banned individuals.
• Operate the security control room, manage communications, log incidents, and follow LSOP and management instructions.
• Conduct security checks at all entry points using Door Frame Metal Detectors, Hand Held Metal Detectors, Baggage Scanners, and Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems.
• Verify identity credentials for employees and visitors, issue visitor cards, and manage vehicle access.
• Ensure smooth vehicular traffic flow at entrances, welcome guests courteously, and perform vehicle inspections.
• Oversee basement parking security, prevent unauthorized access, and guide visitors.
• Check that all security equipment is operational and handle shift handovers properly.

Required profile

• Ability to monitor, report, and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting guests, vehicles, and premises.
• Capability to operate a security control room and maintain accurate logs.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with guests and staff.

Required skills

• Operating Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMD).
• Using Hand Held Metal Detectors (HHMD).
• Handling Baggage Scanners.
• Managing Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems (UVSS).
