Senior Cybersecurity Analyst – Power BI & Reporting

About the role

Moody's is looking for a senior cybersecurity analyst to design and deliver reporting and analytics solutions that turn operational data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop dashboards, reports and visualisations using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to communicate cybersecurity metrics and trends.
• Extract, model and prepare data from Splunk via SPL queries, APIs and scheduled exports for analytics and reporting.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, semantic models, datasets and reporting structures within Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Collaborate with security operations, detection engineering, audit, compliance and leadership teams to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions.

Required profile

• 6‑9 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, reporting or analytics with exposure to cybersecurity or IT operations data.
• Strong ability to translate complex cybersecurity data into clear, audience‑appropriate visualisations and executive reports.
• Proven experience partnering with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to drive decision‑making.

Required skills

• Microsoft Power BI – data modelling, DAX development, dashboard design, workspace administration and performance optimisation.
• Microsoft Fabric – Lakehouse, Data Factory pipelines, OneLake, semantic models and enterprise reporting architectures.
• Splunk – SPL querying, dashboard creation and API integration.
• SQL – data modelling, transformations and scalable reporting solutions.
• Artificial‑intelligence concepts and hands‑on use of AI tools to streamline workflows.
