Seasonal Light Technician – Entertainment (16+)

About the role

The Light Technician supports entertainment productions by operating and maintaining light boards, spotlights, and related equipment. This seasonal, part‑time position works closely with the Light Designer to ensure each performance is properly lit and starts on time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot light boards and spotlights during shows.
• Assist with set‑up and take‑down of lighting equipment.
• Help the Light Designer hang, focus, and adjust lights before productions.
• Maintain lighting equipment in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure performances begin on schedule and adapt to last‑minute changes.

Required profile

• Experience with stage lighting equipment, especially intelligent lights.
• Ability to troubleshoot light board issues.
• Basic knowledge of Hog programming (preferred).
• Physical ability to push, pull, bend, lift up to 60 lb and stand or walk for up to eight hours.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility for early arrivals and late night departures.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks calmly under pressure.
