School Helper – General Support & Cleaning

About the role

The School Helper provides essential general support and maintains cleanliness throughout the school environment. This role ensures that classrooms, offices, restrooms and common areas are safe, hygienic and ready for learning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, restrooms and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Ensure hygiene standards are consistently met and report any issues.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, restocking and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with school staff to address specific cleaning needs and respond to requests promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, janitorial or similar roles.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and operate cleaning equipment safely.

Required skills

• Cleaning equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Knowledge of cleaning best practices and hygiene standards.
