SAP Basis Consultant

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH and the largest software development centre of Bosch outside Germany, is hiring a full-time SAP Basis Consultant in Bangalore. The role centres on upgrades, migrations and production support of SAP ABAP and Java systems in hybrid environments.

Required profile

• 5 to 7 years of experience as a Senior Technology Consultant (SAP Basis).
• Strong experience in upgrades and migrations and production support of SAP ABAP and Java systems in hybrid environments.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of SAP upgrade and migration experience.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of SAP Basis production support experience.
• Education: BE, BTech, BCA, BSc (IT), MCA, MBA (IT) or MSc (IT).

Required skills

• Design, size, build and run of SAP Intelligent Suite systems on IaaS and PaaS hybrid environments.
• At least two end-to-end projects planning, preparing and executing implementation and migration of SAP ERP / S/4HANA systems.
• At least one end-to-end OS/DB/hardware migration cycle using SUM, DMO and HSR methods.
• At least two end-to-end upgrades such as EHP, S/4HANA and SPS.
• At least one end-to-end S/4HANA / BW4HANA conversion cycle.
• Integration of SAP CPI and BTP products.
• Administration of ECC, S/4HANA, BW4HANA and SAP PO systems.
• SAP HANA and Oracle database administration, including performance tuning.
• SAP security hardening and system backup and restore on Linux.
• Business continuity solutions such as clustering, HA / DR failover, and hands-on Linux and AIX administration.

Candidate should be able to manage mission-critical 24/7 production landscapes, communicate and present to customers, and adapt to project schedules. SAP certifications such as S/4HANA conversion and upgrade, OS/DB migration, S/4HANA administration and public cloud certifications (e.g., SAP on AWS, Azure) are an added advantage.
