Sales Support Director

About the role

The Sales Support Director leads NOV's Integrated Sales Solutions (ISS) organization, establishing and scaling a strategic capability that serves business units across quotation, order management, sales data, reporting, and related commercial support activities. Reporting to senior leadership, the role defines the operating model, drives transformation, and ensures ISS becomes a trusted partner that enhances sales effectiveness, customer experience, and business insight.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction, operating model, and maturity roadmap for ISS, moving it from start‑up to a stable, global capability.
• Partner with Business Unit, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Order‑to‑Cash leaders to align priorities, service levels, and outcomes with enterprise objectives.
• Govern the ISS service portfolio, including quotation support, order management, sales data management, and reporting.
• Lead transformation initiatives that improve commercial process efficiency, data quality, and decision‑making.
• Establish enterprise‑level governance forums, escalation paths, decision rights, and performance routines.
• Set and monitor KPIs, service‑level expectations, quality standards, and executive reporting.
• Build and develop a high‑performing leadership team, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and competency development.
• Champion data‑driven decision‑making, automation, AI‑enabled productivity, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience in scaling global commercial support functions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across sales, operations, finance, and executive teams.
• Demonstrated ability to design operating models, governance structures, and performance frameworks.
• Experience leading large‑scale transformation and continuous‑improvement programs.
• Ability to operate in a multicultural, global environment.
