Revenue Accountant

About the role

Monotype is seeking a Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate recording and reporting of revenue transactions. The role focuses on software revenue recognition, contract analysis, and collaboration with sales and order‑management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and advise sales on revenue implications.
• Post transactions to SAP after detailed analysis to ensure correct revenue recognition.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product offerings and related revenue impacts.
• Apply US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition policies in line with FASB and SEC guidance.
• Collaborate with order management to resolve contract processing issues.
• Reconcile unbilled revenue and perform short‑ and long‑term analyses.

Required profile

• 3+ years of finance experience, preferably in a software environment.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused setting.
• Effective communicator with experience reviewing contracts and escalating issues.
• Interest in AI‑driven solutions and continuous process improvement.
