Retrofit Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Retrofit Solutions Engineer will join Airbus India’s Customer Service Engineering & Maintenance unit in Bengaluru. The role focuses on delivering post‑aircraft delivery (PAD) engineering solutions for structural and hydro‑mechanical scopes across all Airbus commercial in‑service aircraft, ensuring continued airworthiness and supporting customer profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Approve MOD Close to KNOWN (CTK) MP intent and support MOD closure.
• Close engineering tasks for CTK MODs (Specific Design).
• Complete and validate Service Bulletin Concurrent Requirements (SBCR) on SB revisions.
• Define detailed planning to meet airline target dates based on SEKOM conclusions.
• Request adaptation drawings and define pre/post drawing solutions for Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN) effectivity.
• Perform drawing approvals and identify Long Lead Items (LLI) and related part numbers.
• Finalize and validate the SB Preparation Dossier, including SBCR, concurrent requirements, and engineering configuration definition.
• Organise hand‑over meetings with the SB author once the dossier is complete.
• Support technical scrutiny of Service Bulletins.
