Restaurant Reservations Executive

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Restaurant Reservations Executive to join the pre‑opening team at Fairmont Udaipur Palace. In this role you will be the first point of contact for guests making reservations, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from inquiry to dining.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls, emails and online reservation requests promptly and professionally.
• Manage bookings using reservation platforms such as OpenTable, SevenRooms, ResDiary or Bookenda, including confirming, modifying and cancelling reservations.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and guest profiles while coordinating table assignments with the Restaurant Manager and Host/Hostess.
• Welcome guests, assist with seating during peak periods and handle VIP or special‑occasion requests.
• Inform guests of restaurant policies, opening hours, dress code and promotions.
• Maximize table occupancy, follow up on no‑shows and manage reservation confirmations.
• Address guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in restaurant reservations, guest relations, front office or food & beverage operations (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Professional grooming, positive attitude and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation management systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms, ResDiary, Bookenda).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong telephone etiquette and customer‑service orientation.
