Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

About the role

Ecole Globale International Girls' School is seeking a qualified Resident Medical Officer to manage the health and wellbeing of its boarding students and staff. The RMO will deliver primary medical care, respond to emergencies, and lead preventive health initiatives within a residential campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide routine medical consultations, first‑aid, and emergency care for students and staff.
• Oversee daily operations of the school infirmary, ensuring high standards of patient care and hygiene.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and manage electronic or manual record‑keeping systems.
• Coordinate referrals, specialist consultations, and hospital admissions as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor ongoing treatment plans.
• Conduct regular health assessments and promote preventive health programmes.
• Collaborate with parents, school leadership, counsellors, and hostel staff on health matters.
• Ensure adequate stock of medical supplies and equipment, and support campus health‑safety planning.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognised institution with valid registration from the appropriate Medical Council.
• Minimum 2–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in emergency medicine, general practice, paediatrics or family medicine.
• Prior experience in a boarding school or residential institution is an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment, emergency response capability, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
