Reporting & Core Functions Senior Auditor

About the role

ABB is seeking a senior auditor to lead financial accuracy, internal controls, and regulatory compliance for its Bangalore corporate function. You will apply a systematic, disciplined approach to examine records, improve operating practices, and support risk management across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute operational and financial audits (pre‑, on‑site, and post‑phases) for various business processes, including Financial Reporting, Sustainability Reporting, ICoR, FAO, and PMI.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret documents to produce audit results and evaluate internal control systems.
• Document audit findings, risks, and recommendations for final audit reports.
• Perform quality reviews of audit work papers prepared by team members.
• Participate in compliance audits, prepare work papers, and assist in compliance report preparation.
• Conduct follow‑up reviews for both operational/financial and compliance audits, communicating results to audit managers and regional heads.
• Support special assignments such as deficiency remediation and design reviews of end‑to‑end processes.
• Contribute to the development of audit frameworks and guidelines for defined business processes.

Required profile

• University degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in audit, finance, compliance, or related operational roles.
• Strong understanding of functional processes, internal controls, and risk‑management principles.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural audit teams within a global environment.
• Excellent analytical abilities and solid IT proficiency.
