Registered Nurse – Endoscopy Clinic

About the role

The Gastro Liver Endoscopy Centre (GLEC) in New Delhi is seeking a full‑time Nurse to join its specialised gastro‑enterology team. The role involves supporting day‑to‑day clinical operations for endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and related procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the care pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for endoscopic and related procedures, including positioning and equipment setup.
• Monitor vital signs and provide pre‑ and post‑procedure nursing care.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Administer medications and IV therapy according to protocol.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with infection‑control and sterilisation standards.
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, post‑procedure care, and follow‑up plans.
• Manage medical supplies inventory and support multidisciplinary team workflow.

Required profile

• Valid nursing qualification (GNM/B.Sc Nursing or equivalent) with current registration.
• Clinical experience in a hospital, day‑care or specialty clinic; exposure to gastroenterology or endoscopy is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle multiple tasks and maintain detailed documentation.
• Willingness to work shifts as required and engage in ongoing training.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) – preferred.
• IV therapy and medication administration.
• Vital signs monitoring.
• Infection control practices.
• Instrument handling for endoscopic procedures.
