Regional Sales Manager – Retail (Shop-in-Shop)

About the role

BulBul, a mass‑premium Indian ethnic‑wear brand, is expanding its Shop‑in‑Shop (SiS) network across North and East India. The Regional Sales Manager will own the end‑to‑end SiS channel for the assigned territory, driving profitability, building the model from scratch, and scaling it across multiple states.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a state‑by‑state SiS expansion plan with quarterly store‑sign‑up targets.
• Identify, evaluate, and pitch potential retail partners, including multi‑brand outlets, specialty stores, and large‑format retailers.
• Negotiate commercial terms such as margin structures, display space, VM placement, payment terms, and exclusivity clauses within HQ guidelines.
• Manage the full onboarding process: prospecting, pitching, contract signing, fixture and VM setup, stock placement, staff deployment, and store launch.
• Maintain a robust prospecting pipeline, provide weekly status reports to HQ, and leverage local agent networks and trade contacts.
• Oversee P&L for the SiS channel, ensure store profitability, and replicate successful models across new regions.
• Hire, train, and lead Area Sales Managers as the territory expands.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in retail sales and distribution, preferably in women’s ethnic wear, fashion, or lifestyle.
• Proven track record of opening new retail channels and achieving sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and P&L ownership skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field, travel frequently across the assigned states, and handle hands‑on tasks.
