Recruitment Officer

About the role

As a member of the regional recruitment team, you will provide efficient and effective recruitment services to meet the hiring needs of our maritime clients. The focus is on attracting high‑calibre junior officers and ratings to join our seafaring pools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform active and passive sourcing of candidates using internal databases, approved channels, social media and job boards.
• Maintain contact with officers and ratings, including those who have left the company or are in the open market.
• Expand the talent pool by networking, advertising and continuous sourcing.
• Participate in local recruitment events such as crew fairs and school outreach.
• Ensure recruitment system records are accurate, up‑to‑date and reflect verified candidate information.
• Discuss offers with shortlisted candidates and coordinate screening, tests, interviews, background checks and document verification.
• Submit compliant proposals of seafarers to planners and clients, and follow the process through to offer finalisation.
• Attend team meetings, deputise for the Senior Recruitment Officer and work within defined KPIs and productivity ratios.

Required profile

• Experience in active and passive candidate sourcing.
• Familiarity with recruitment databases, job boards and social media recruiting tools.
• Ability to maintain accurate candidate records and manage the end‑to‑end recruitment workflow.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with officers, ratings and internal stakeholders.
