Recruitment Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Recruitment Officer to join our regional recruitment team in Mumbai. The role will support the hiring needs of our global ship management and marine services business, focusing on attracting junior officers and ratings for our seafaring pools.

Key responsibilities

• Source candidates actively and passively using internal databases, job boards, social media and approved recruitment tools.
• Maintain and expand the talent pool of officers and ratings through networking, advertising and participation in local recruitment events.
• Ensure recruitment records are accurate, up‑to‑date and reflect verified candidate information such as availability, wage expectations and competencies.
• Coordinate screening, testing, interviews, document verification, background checks and profile updates according to workflow.
• Prepare and submit compliant proposals of seafarers to planners, CMMs and clients, and follow the process through to offer acceptance.
• Discuss offers with shortlisted candidates and manage the offer‑letter finalisation.
• Attend one‑to‑one and team meetings, deputise for the Senior Recruitment Officer and meet defined KPIs and productivity ratios.

Required profile

• Experience in maritime or seafarer recruitment, preferably handling junior officers and ratings.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, talent‑pool management and candidate lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records in recruitment systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a regional recruitment team.
