Receptionist – Medical Centre

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Receptionist to join the Primary Care Team at Roodlane Medical in Canary Wharf. You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, delivering a high‑quality customer experience in a busy private healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, visitors, GPs and staff, handling enquiries in person, by phone and email.
• Issue and explain paperwork, ensuring forms are completed correctly.
• Maintain the medical reception system and use Microsoft Office applications for scheduling and record‑keeping.
• Collaborate with the Registered Manager and clinical staff to support the patient journey.
• Escalate complaints or complex issues to the Senior Receptionist as required.
• Provide a visible, approachable presence across several central London clinics.

Required profile

• Good general education – minimum GCSE level (5 GCSEs at C grade or above preferred).
• Previous experience in hospitality, service or healthcare environments is advantageous.
• Excellent spoken and written English with a professional telephone manner.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 07:45‑16:45 or 09:15‑18:15 (40 hours per week).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Computer literacy and experience with information‑management systems.
