RDKV Developer – Embedded Web Browser Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced RDKV Developer to design and implement multimedia web‑browser solutions for embedded platforms. You will work on cutting‑edge OTT streaming technologies and ensure high performance, stability, and scalability of the browser engine.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customize the RDKV (Reference Design Kit – Video) platform for embedded systems.
• Port, customize, and enhance WebKit (WPE) and other browser engines.
• Design and implement multimedia web‑browser features, including MSE/EME extensions.
• Optimize graphics rendering using OpenGL ES2 and integrate with modern window managers (Wayland, Weston, Westeros).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end OTT streaming solutions.
• Debug and resolve performance, stability, and compatibility issues in embedded environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience developing web browsers for embedded systems with a focus on multimedia.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Proven experience with WebKit (WPE) porting or development and familiarity with other browser engines.
• Solid understanding of HTML and JavaScript execution within a browser engine.
• Experience with embedded Linux and real‑time operating system concepts.
• Expertise in MSE/EME development and DRM technologies such as PlayReady or Widevine.
• Knowledge of streaming protocols and containers (HLS, MPEG‑DASH) and modern rendering pipelines.
