R&D Member of Technical Staff – II (Technical Writing)

About the role

As a member of AVEVA’s global technical writing team, you will collaborate with software engineers to create and publish clear, user‑focused documentation for industrial software products and solutions. The role involves translating complex technical concepts into accessible content for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Learn complex work through self‑learning, training and shadowing senior writers.
• Work with minimal supervision on advanced, unstructured, and complex documentation tasks.
• Improve content quality, adhere to established standards and guidelines, and ensure timely delivery.
• Design, develop, review and publish high‑quality technical documentation.
• Collaborate with global R&D teams using agile and DevOps practices.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in technical writing and documentation development.
• Experience with industrial software products and solutions.
• Experience working in global agile and DevOps environments.
• Experience using Author‑it Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in English, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
