R&A PAR and Controller Lead – Downstream Finance

About the role

Shell Downstream is seeking a dynamic R&A PAR and Controller Lead to drive finance transformation across its portfolio. You will lead a team of finance professionals, ensuring accurate reporting, robust accounting, and insightful analysis to support the business’s transition to lower‑carbon models.

Key responsibilities

• Lead up to 10 finance professionals delivering end‑to‑end R&A support, including controlling, accounting, reporting and management information.
• Represent Finance Operations R&A to business finance leaders and act as the primary interface for senior leadership.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes for the Downstream portfolio.
• Resolve reporting issues and provide guidance on financial queries.
• Maintain efficiency of R&A processes and strengthen the financial control framework.
• Support the preparation of the annual business plan, operational, economic and financial KPI assessments.
• Deliver quarterly latest‑estimate processes and ensure performance is clearly analysed in management packs.
• Provide deep, external‑perspective analysis to aid strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong background in reporting, accounting, process management and PAR.
• Proven ability to work across functions and drive a common agenda.
• Leadership experience managing finance teams.
• End‑to‑end accountability for R&A activities.
• Enthusiasm for supporting Shell’s transition strategy.
