Quantity Surveyor – MEP (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor – MEP to lead commercial and quantity surveying activities for mechanical, electrical and plumbing works on construction projects. The role involves preparing detailed take‑offs, cost estimates, managing tenders and ensuring accurate measurement and valuation of MEP installations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and BOQs for HVAC, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, fire alarm, ELV, BMS and other specialist MEP systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, scope of work and contract documents.
• Develop cost estimates, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts for MEP packages.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, prepare tender comparisons and commercial evaluations.
• Measure completed works, prepare interim payment applications and certify payments.
• Review subcontractor bills, invoices and supporting documents.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost deviations.
• Assess variations, change orders, claims and additional works; prepare variation quotations and maintain logs.
• Assist in contract administration, commercial negotiations and final account settlement.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, procurement teams and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management is an advantage.
• 3–8 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying/commercial management.
• Experience in building construction, infrastructure or MEP contracting preferred.
