Quantity Surveyor – Civil

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Civil to lead commercial and quantity surveying activities for civil and building projects. The role involves preparing detailed take‑offs, cost estimates, tender documents and managing subcontractor measurements and final accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and Bills of Quantities for earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural works, blockwork, finishes, waterproofing, external works, roads and infrastructure.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and contract documents to identify discrepancies and scope changes.
• Develop cost estimates, project budgets and tender documents; evaluate contractor quotations.
• Measure completed works, prepare interim payment applications and verify subcontractor invoices.
• Monitor project expenditure, produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Evaluate and price variations, change orders, claims and additional works; maintain variation and claims registers.
• Assist with contract administration, commercial negotiations and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with consultants, project managers, site engineers, procurement teams and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil/building quantity surveying or commercial management.
• Experience with main contractors, developers or civil contractors preferred.
