QA Engineer III

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on and motivated Senior QA Engineer specializing in test automation to contribute to the quality engineering efforts for Infinia, DDN’s large‑scale distributed data platform. In this role you will validate distributed system components by developing test strategies, building automation, and executing performance and reliability tests.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute system test plans for components such as scheduling, memory, I/O paths, and platform services.
• Validate system functionality, data consistency, and multi‑tenant behavior under varied scenarios.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Python and Pytest, and contribute to existing automation frameworks.
• Execute performance and scalability tests to evaluate throughput, latency, and stability, and analyze results using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to understand features, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.
• Document test cases, results, defects, and validation reports, and help improve QA processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Python for test automation.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks such as pytest, unittest, or Robot Framework.
• Understanding of distributed storage systems testing challenges and solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
• Advanced Linux skills, including networking, filesystems, and block storage.
• Familiarity with containerized testing environments and Docker.
