Purchasing Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement of all production materials and bought‑out parts, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Order raw materials, scrap bundles, and bought‑out components according to the production schedule.
• Issue RFQs, obtain quotations, and create purchase orders, securing internal approvals.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies in line with business unit objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and maintain key supplier relationships.
• Convert monthly purchase requisitions to purchase orders for all production items.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives through negotiation, alternative sourcing, VA/VE, and localization.
• Maintain dual‑sourcing and onboarding of secondary suppliers for risk mitigation.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports on spend, analysis, and performance against cost‑saving targets.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and EMS standards.
• Coordinate with production, finance, and quality teams to align purchasing actions with corporate goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in purchasing within an industrial or production environment.
• Proven track record of achieving cost‑saving targets and improving payment terms.
• Experience managing audits and adhering to IATF 16949 and EMS requirements.
