Public Area Attendant – Hotel Cleaning

About the role

The Public Area Attendant ensures that all public spaces of the hotel—including lobbies, restrooms, elevators, pool and exercise areas—are clean, tidy, and ready to welcome guests. This onsite role is essential for maintaining the hotel’s high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Follow daily cleaning schedule provided by supervisor.
• Clean and maintain lobbies, public restrooms, stairwells, hallways, and entrances.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors, elevators, furniture, and fixtures.
• Empty and clean outdoor trash containers, ashtrays, and patio areas.
• Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, hand towels) and ensure all surfaces are mark‑free.
• Maintain cleanliness of exercise room equipment and pool area furniture and glass.
• Report any repair or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Assist room attendants and laundry staff as needed.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or similar experience in a hotel or commercial setting.
• Experience working in a customer‑focused environment.
• Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
