Project Manager – Data Centre

About the role

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead data centre projects for its life‑science clients across India. The role involves end‑to‑end delivery, from tender review to commissioning, while ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project, client and stakeholder relationships and adhere to IPS HSE culture.
• Review tender documents, estimates and BOQs; coordinate design with internal engineering disciplines.
• Lead meetings with clients, contractors, vendors and internal teams.
• Ensure QA/QC of drawings and issue coordinated documentation.
• Oversee technical and commercial delivery, including As‑Sold GM, WHs and profitability.
• Control project schedule, man‑hours and financial performance.
• Drive value‑addition, sustainability and EHS initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and conduct project review meetings.
• Mentor team members and foster a positive work culture.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of project management experience in engineering consultancy or on the client side.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil preferred).
• Post‑graduation or PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum two to three completed data centre projects.
• Active involvement in professional engineering associations is advantageous.

Required skills

• Data centre design and project management.
• 3D BIM tools.
• MS Office Suite.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical or civil engineering principles.
