Project Implementation Officer – District Level (Meghalaya)

About the role

PATH is seeking a Project Implementation Officer to lead the Maternal Anemia Project at the district level in Meghalaya, India. The role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring interventions that aim to reduce moderate and severe anemia among pregnant and lactating women.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement project activities in collaboration with the state project lead.
• Facilitate deliverables, obtain necessary government approvals, and ensure proper implementation.
• Monitor technical aspects of ongoing activities through field visits and meetings with officials, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
• Coordinate with division and district officials and partners for project‑related activities.
• Maintain documentation, prepare reports, case studies, presentations, and best‑practice summaries.
• Support Anemia Mukt Bharat activities and oversee district‑level deployment and training of health care workers.
• Organise capacity‑building sessions on maternal anemia for district officials and strengthen data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting systems.

Required profile

• Experience in project implementation at district or sub‑national level, preferably in health or public‑health programmes.
• Ability to work closely with government authorities and multi‑sector partners.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Capacity to organise training and capacity‑building activities.
