Professor of Practice & Program Head – Smart Manufacturing

About the role

The university seeks a senior industry professional to serve as Professor of Practice and Program Head for its Smart Manufacturing and AI/ML programs. This senior academic leader will bridge industry expertise with academic excellence, ensuring the curriculum remains future‑ready and aligned with global supply‑chain trends.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute the Smart Manufacturing program, integrating AI/ML and emerging technologies.
• Continuously upgrade curriculum with case studies, simulations, live projects, and industry immersion.
• Build and maintain partnerships with logistics, manufacturing, e‑commerce, and supply‑chain organisations for guest lectures, internships and placements.
• Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, and ensure high teaching standards and student engagement.
• Oversee program operations, scheduling, performance tracking and quality assurance.
• Mentor students, promote research, innovation and entrepreneurship in supply‑chain management.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, accreditation standards and drive continuous program improvement.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in a related discipline (PhD preferred).
• 20–30 years of relevant industry experience in manufacturing, e‑commerce, construction, mechanical or automobile sectors.
• Extensive industry network and deep understanding of evolving technologies and practices.
