Professor of Computer Science – AI/ML, Data Analytics, IoT, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Full Stack

About the role

GLA University, Mathura Campus is seeking a Professor of Computer Science to lead teaching, research and industry collaboration in emerging technology domains. The successful candidate will shape curricula, mentor students and junior faculty, and drive high‑impact research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance curricula to reflect current industry trends.
• Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. research projects.
• Administer examinations and assess student performance.
• Provide academic consultancy and collaborate with industry or research organisations.
• Conduct and publish high‑quality research in reputable journals.
• Mentor students and junior faculty members.
• Lead departmental initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.
• Secure research funding and manage grants.
• Organise seminars, workshops and conferences in computer science.
• Participate in academic committees and university governance.
• Stay updated with advancements in computer science and integrate them into teaching and research.
• Develop partnerships with external institutions and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering (highly desirable) with M.Tech or B.Tech in Computer Science.
• Minimum 10 years of university‑level teaching experience, including at least 5 years post‑PhD.
• At least 3 years as an Associate Professor and 5 years as an Assistant Professor.
• Minimum of 2 first‑author SCI publications and 4 SCI/Scopus papers as first or second author.
• Supervised at least two Ph.D. candidates to completion.
