About the role
UPES, Dehradun is seeking experienced academicians for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor in its School of Computer Science. The role combines high‑quality teaching, cutting‑edge research, and active participation in the academic community.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in core and emerging computer‑science topics.
- Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Develop and update curricula to reflect industry trends and research advancements.
- Conduct independent research, publish in reputable journals, and present at conferences.
- Secure research funding and collaborate with industry partners.
- Participate in departmental committees, accreditation activities, and community outreach.
Required profile
- PhD (mandatory) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Strong academic and research record, preferably from IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS, Thapar, NSUT, VIT, IISc Bangalore, or other reputed institutions.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, curriculum design, and supervising research work.
- Evidence of high‑impact publications and ability to attract research funding.
