Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor – Applied Psychology

About the role

The Department of Applied Psychology is seeking qualified academicians for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Candidates will join a vibrant faculty to teach, mentor, and conduct research in Clinical, Social, and General Applied Psychology.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate, postgraduate and advanced courses covering Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology, Counseling, Psychological Assessment, Research Methodology, Organizational Behaviour, Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences.
• Develop lesson plans, curricula, assessments and academic resources in line with university and UGC guidelines.
• Mentor students on academic growth, internships, research projects, dissertations and career development.
• Conduct high‑quality research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and guide doctoral work where applicable.
• Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, FDPs and foster academic collaborations.
• Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation, rankings and quality‑assurance initiatives.
• Support departmental administration, outreach, counseling initiatives and institutional events.
• Build collaborations with hospitals, NGOs, industry, schools and community organisations for practical exposure and research.

Required profile

• Assistant Professor: Master’s degree (55% minimum) in Psychology/Applied Psychology; Ph.D. preferred or in progress; NET qualification preferred.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. in Psychology/Applied Psychology; minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience; strong peer‑reviewed publications.
• Professor: Ph.D. in Psychology/Applied Psychology; 10–15 years of teaching/research experience; proven academic leadership and doctoral supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital teaching‑learning platforms and Learning Management System (LMS) tools.
