Production Technician

About the role

The Production Technician will operate and monitor key processing equipment at Bunge’s edible‑oil refinery in Rajpura, ensuring safe, efficient and GMP‑compliant production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate churn cum blending of VP refinery & RO refinery according to established procedures.
• Operate short‑mix, bleacher, autoclave, deo, fractionation and acid‑oil plant equipment.
• Carry out pre‑operation activities and ensure proper equipment start‑up.
• Monitor plant parameters, maintain log‑books and work to reduce unplanned stoppages.
• Maintain cleanliness of churn and blending areas and uphold 5S standards.
• Supervise and guide contractual manpower deployed in the churn and blending sections.
• Maintain quality parameters and control wastage within defined standards.
• Participate in workshops and trainings and apply learnings on the shop floor.

Required profile

• ITI in Mechanical or Electrical.
• Minimum five years of experience in edible‑oil or FMCG manufacturing.
• Ability to work following safety, food safety, chemical safety and GMP guidelines.
• Strong manual dexterity for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Capability to supervise and coordinate contractual staff.

Required skills

• Operation of churn blending systems for VP and RO refineries.
• Operation of short‑mix, bleacher, autoclave, deo, fractionation and acid‑oil plant equipment.
• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of refinery machinery.
• Knowledge of safety, food safety, chemical safety and GMP practices.
• Manpower handling and basic supervisory skills.
