Production Supervisor (M/F/D)

About the role

The Production Supervisor leads a manufacturing area, ensuring that teams are trained, safe, and productive. You will be responsible for daily workforce management, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement of processes.

Key responsibilities

• Induct and train new operators, including temporary staff, and maintain up‑to‑date training plans.
• Monitor certifications, update flexibility grids, and manage absenteeism, holidays, and safety compliance.
• Enforce standard breaks, meetings, and working time validation on the shop floor.
• Lead monthly performance reviews, conduct annual appraisals, salary reviews and career interviews.
• Maintain and update work instructions, ensure adherence to safety, quality, 5S and product handling standards.
• Implement TPM practices: abnormality detection, equipment inspection, first‑level preventive maintenance.
• Track equipment performance, cycle times and micro‑stoppages, and drive waste reduction initiatives.
• Prepare weekly headcount and organization proposals, align production with the Master Production Schedule (MPS), and coordinate with supply‑chain teams.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher management and collaborate with support functions for rapid problem solving.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising production teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of training, certification, and workforce planning.
• Ability to enforce safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Excellent analytical skills for performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and leadership to maintain a positive social climate.
