Production Manager – Webbing & Lashing

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the complete manufacturing operation for webbing and lashing products at our cargo‑related facility. You will be responsible for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, and ensuring on‑time dispatch of finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Oversee manufacturing of polyester webbing, tie‑down straps, ratchet straps, cargo lashing belts and related items.
• Manage weaving, dyeing, cutting, stitching, sewing, assembly and finishing operations.
• Optimize utilization of weaving and stitching machines and monitor machine efficiency, output and rejection rates.
• Establish and maintain quality standards in line with EN, DIN, ISO, BIS and customer specifications.
• Handle manpower planning, shift schedules and workforce productivity.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and Dispatch teams.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions and control raw‑material consumption, wastage and manufacturing costs.
• Maintain production MIS, daily reports and KPI dashboards.
• Lead preventive maintenance activities and train supervisors, operators and production staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and factory regulations.

Required profile

• 8‑15 years of experience in webbing, lashing, narrow fabric, technical or industrial textile manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of webbing looms, weaving processes, polyester yarns, dyeing, stitching and lashing assembly.
• Experience with cargo lashing/tie‑down systems is preferred.
• Proven ability in production planning, quality control and manpower management.
• Understanding of industrial safety and quality standards.
• Leadership and problem‑solving skills with experience managing medium to large production teams.
• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Textile, Mechanical, Production Engineering or related field preferred.
