Product Owner – Methods & Tools

About the role

Airbus India is looking for a Product Owner to lead the Methods & Tools team, delivering digital solutions that support core engineering verticals. You will work in a multi‑functional environment, bridging engineering expertise with software development to enable digitisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define, refine and prioritize backlog items in line with SAFe program increments.
• Run sprint ceremonies, support PI Planning and manage dependencies with Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters and System Architects.
• Engage with engineers, programme teams, certification bodies and IT operations to translate user needs into actionable requirements.
• Conduct user interviews, gather feedback, and perform impact/value analysis.
• Maintain and enhance IBM DOORS (v9 or Next Generation) configurations, including module structures, baselines, attributes, link modules and reporting mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of digital tools and web‑based solutions.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in Agile product ownership, preferably within a SAFe environment.
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholder groups and manage conflicting expectations diplomatically.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM DOORS in a systems‑engineering context.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
