Product Certification Engineer – Power Tools

About the role

We are looking for a Product Certification Engineer to lead the certification of power‑tool products for the Indian market. You will work closely with test houses, national authorities and internal teams to ensure compliance of new and existing products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product certification plans for new power‑tool launches and existing models.
• Integrate new or updated Indian regulations into the power‑tools requirements landscape.
• Investigate and clarify country‑specific requirements and communicate changes to the central certification function.
• Obtain national approvals (e.g., BIS) and maintain all related documentation.
• Coordinate with national authorities, local test houses and customs.
• Support internal projects, plant maintenance and conduct failure analysis for products in development and production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in an engineering‑related role.
• Familiarity with Indian regulations, standards, testing and certification processes for electrical tools.
• Strong initiative, ownership, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Indian product certification procedures (e.g., BIS).
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
