Procurement Sourcing Specialist

About the role

ThoughtSpot’s Procurement team is undergoing a transformation to centralize intake, automate workflows, and provide CFO‑level visibility across spend. We are seeking a Procurement Sourcing Specialist who can thrive in a fast‑moving environment, apply sharp analytical instincts, and work with modern procurement tools, including AI‑assisted workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize a high‑volume pipeline of RFQ and PR requests, primarily for SaaS categories.
• Lead end‑to‑end RFP processes: scope requirements, run competitive sourcing events, and drive award decisions.
• Own vendor lifecycle management, including onboarding, performance tracking, and relationship maintenance.
• Maintain accurate vendor master data and ensure compliance with security assessments, NDAs, and insurance requirements.
• Support and eventually lead Quarterly Business Reviews with strategic vendors.
• Track contract expirations, initiate renewal conversations 90 days in advance, and coordinate with Legal and Finance.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through consolidation, competitive bids, and negotiation leverage.
• Leverage AI tools and automation to reduce manual effort in sourcing, vendor management, and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Management, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
• Proven track record in vendor negotiations, RFP management, and contract renewals.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards).
• Basic familiarity with SQL for data queries.
• Basic scripting ability in Python or JavaScript for simple automation tasks.
