Procurement Regional Category Manager

About the role

The Procurement Regional Category Manager will lead the development and execution of material category strategies for Bosch Home Comfort. You will act as the product expert for assigned categories, manage supplier relationships and drive cost‑effective sourcing across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement material category strategy.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers through market research.
• Conduct price negotiations and maintain long‑term purchasing agreements.
• Perform material cost analysis and act as product expert for assigned categories.
• Build and optimise the supplier pool and portfolio.
• Analyse supply market risks and manage them through internal collaboration and external leverage.
• Conduct regular supplier business reviews, risk assessments and mentoring.

Required profile

• Fluent in English with strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Six or more years of sourcing or strategic purchasing experience, preferably with plastic or rubber commodities.
• Proactive, adaptive learner with a target‑driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel frequently as required.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience using SAP for procurement processes.
