Procurement Officer – Vendor Management & P2P

About the role

The Procurement Officer ensures the timely availability of raw materials and components required for production. You will manage vendor relationships, drive expediting activities, and own the end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) process.

Key responsibilities

• Engage proactively with vendors to secure on‑time deliveries aligned with the production schedule.
• Prepare and monitor delivery schedules after purchase order release, using the Vendor Portal for communication and issue resolution.
• Track delivery performance, escalate critical delays, and maintain safety stock in collaboration with planning and plant teams.
• Execute the full P2P cycle in SAP MM, handling domestic and import purchases, Incoterms, and payment terms such as LC/BG.
• Implement engineering change notifications (ECR/ECN) and manage rejected material disposal.
• Maintain procurement dashboards, ensure compliance with taxation, safety, and environmental regulations, and support corporate SCM initiatives.

Required profile

• B.E./B‑Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6–8 years of experience in the automobile or consumer‑durable industry, handling metals, plastics, packaging, or fabrication items.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities, with exposure to vendor negotiations and import/export regulations.
