Procurement Officer

About the role

Join a global ship management leader as a Procurement Officer supporting fleet operations. You will ensure timely and accurate procurement activities for vessels worldwide, working closely with internal teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities aligned with vessel schedules, preventing avoidable delays.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, quotations, and follow‑up on orders.
• Collaborate daily with Procurement Managers and Vessel Managers on operational needs.
• Support cost control by obtaining competitive quotations and challenging inconsistencies.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery status, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Monitor order and invoice status to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of maritime procurement or purchasing experience.
• Exposure to vessel operations, spares, and logistics.
• Strong organizational and follow‑up discipline.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with procurement systems (BASSnet or similar).
