Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Officer to support our Purchase Manager in optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with commercial and legal standards. The role will involve close collaboration with supply chain, planning and HSE teams to drive efficient sourcing and inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Purchase Manager in continuous improvement programmes aimed at streamlining procurement systems and processes.
• Help establish, validate and monitor contractual agreements with vendors to ensure commercial and legal compliance.
• Oversee day‑to‑day supplier performance, guaranteeing service, cost, delivery and quality targets are met.
• Support inventory control activities, generate and analyse inventory and SLOB reports.
• Contribute to alternate sourcing development plans and nurture effective supplier relationships.
• Monitor timely creation of purchase orders by material schedulers and coordinate with the planning cell on material demand.
• Act as a DAX key user, maintaining data integrity within the relevant ERP module.
• Assist in handling quality and commercial complaints, reverse logistics and the procurement of critical raw and packaging materials for development projects.
• Collaborate with HSE and IR teams to obtain approvals for the procurement and storage of chemicals and hazardous items.
• Guide local material schedulers across factory sites to achieve optimal results and ensure on‑time purchase orders for FTC‑related procurements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process optimisation.
• Good understanding of supplier performance metrics and contractual compliance.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams such as supply chain, planning, HSE and IR.
• Attention to detail in managing purchase orders and inventory data.

Required skills

• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for ERP data management.
