Procurement Executive – Meat (Goat & Lamb)

About the role

Licious is looking for a Procurement Executive to lead the sourcing of goat and lamb livestock for our fresh meat operations. You will work closely with slaughterhouses, farmers, and market vendors to ensure a steady supply of high‑quality animals that meet our strict specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Attend slaughterhouse sessions for goat and lamb to monitor quality and protocol compliance.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors according to Licious Standard Specifications.
• Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities to verify adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Visit local markets (shanties/mandis) to assess and purchase live animals, selecting healthy livestock.
• Build a direct‑to‑farm network by engaging farmers for bulk purchases, reducing reliance on intermediaries.
• Maintain real‑time reporting on yield, quality, and processing metrics.
• Travel extensively to rural markets and work flexible hours aligned with slaughterhouse schedules.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in any discipline.
• Proven experience in livestock procurement, meat‑industry operations, or agricultural sourcing.
• Strong negotiation abilities to secure competitive pricing and bulk deals.
• Ability to assess livestock quality based on weight, age, and other specifications.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
