Process Technician – IMM

About the role

The Process Technician – IMM will ensure the safe and efficient operation of injection molding machines, robots and auxiliary equipment at Sika's plant in Chakan, Pune. You will work shift‑wise to produce high‑quality parts that meet automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines, robots and related utilities to produce first‑time‑right parts.
• Monitor machine parameters against the process sheet and report any deviations immediately.
• Inspect finished parts according to the control plan and communicate issues to the process engineer.
• Package, label and store finished parts following the packaging standard and control plan.
• Load and unload molds under the supervision of the process engineer.
• Run and shut down all auxiliary equipment safely, updating daily maintenance checklists.
• Coordinate with maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Ensure availability of raw and packaging materials on the shop floor.
• Apply 5S housekeeping practices and keep the work area clean.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in an injection molding plant, preferably with two‑component molding.
• Basic awareness of automotive manufacturing standards (IATF 16949).
• Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions and safety procedures.
• Good coordination skills with maintenance and quality teams.
